  19. It seems that the reason Mosaic will present some of you with lists of
  20. article headers of news groups just fine, but then refuse to read any
  21. articles ("430 No article by message-id
  22. <1993Feb3.134631.2976@ncsa.uiuc.edu>, sorry."), is that some nntp
  23. servers out there are just plain broken.

  25. How, you ask?  RFC 977 directs news servers to return articles
  26. identified by article ID when sent a command of form:

  34. ....where 335 is the article number.  Right?

  36. Well, some servers only allow the latter method.  This seems strange.
  37. Does anyone know what I'm missing here?
